Robbinsdale Public School District Bus Transportation software made easy with rSchoolToday!

Robbinsdale Public School District selects rSchoolToday for their Bus Transportation Program. rSchoolToday, a powerful integrated web application for K12 schools that offers Web Site products which are designed to empower non-technical staff towards pervasive publishing, and to reduce the time and costs associated with sharing and gathering information amongst the school community.

 Robbinsdale Public school located in New Hope, MN which has 12,500 students, 150 buses, vans and 120 drivers chose rSchoolToday’s rTransportation Request. This software aims to provide a smooth runaround for receiving and entering requests without the worry of having multiple data entry.

 Kelly Stano, Transportation Secretary for Robbinsdale attests that before using rTransportation, they use to have a log sheet per day, assign to driver in red at least 3 days in advance for scheduling, and fill out a 4 part Trip Ticket form which needs to be sent to different personnel for approval and documentation. Because of this, orders use to take 5 days to approve, no auto assignment; dispatch log had to be put out so drivers could see 2 weeks in advance. One of the main benefits of using rTransporation is that Open tickets are not approved unless they are “coded” properly with an account code.

Kelly likes the fact that she can access everything at home; she sometimes gets calls at 6:00AM and can take care of a situation right away by accessing the application from her home computer.

She can also contract buses from within the district or charter companies from outside. And the fact is Mileage for state reporting is easier now!

Kelly easily runs monthly reports for Sandy regarding special ed usage. State reports are now easier to complete.
